DAY 1: CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH, ABUJA DCC. MINISTERS' REFRESHER COURSE 2024

THEME: FULFILING GOD'S MANDATE MINISTERIALLY
(17TH -19TH, JANUARY 2024)

DAY 1
Ministers from all the assemblies in the DCC gathered at the DCC headquarters for this power packed event.

WELCOME ADDRESS AND EVENT OPENING.

The DCC superintendent, Pastor Olu Mustapha welcomed all ministers. He commended the planning committee for a job well done. He was specifically pleased with the organization and systematic lay out of the lecture handout as well as the quality of the theme for this year.

Speaking further, he said ministers should note that they are on spiritual journey as he used psalm 46:1 to speak on ' one more step along the way I go'. He continued that God want them all to be like himself and that participants should put their hope in God. He then declared the course opened in the name of God almighty.

LECTURE ONE.

The first lecture of the day was delivered by Pastor Olaseinde Idowu Mustapha. The topic was ' The minister and his divine call. He lectured on the different ministerial offices, divine call, how to ascertain God's call, what to expect from God's minister, how to recognize God's call and the purpose of a minister to the church, among others.

 LECTURE TWO

After the break, the resource person for lecture two, Pastor Ayeni M.A.D. , was on ground as he delivered the second lecture titled,' The scope of focus as a minister in Christ Apostolic Church. He taught vividly on the tenets of Christ Apostolic Church as well as the vision and mission of Christ Apostolic Church. He encouraged all the participating ministers to be grounded in the tenets , vision and mission of Christ Apostolic Church. He also spoke about what to do to remain in the scope of focus as a minister in Christ Apostolic Church.

SYMPOSIUM

Some senior ministers at the event shared their ministerial experience since the start of their ministries in line with the topic of the symposium which was,' Challenges in the course  of ministerial assignment '. Ministers who spoke at this session were : Pastor Daramola P.B., Pastor Ayobami Oyekola, Pastor Daniel Owolanke, Pastor Ogundele I.O, and Pastor Olasupo Emmanuel. It was an encouragement and uplifting session for all.

INTERCESSORY PRAYER

Pastor Ogundele led participants in intercessory prayers for all assemblies and ministers in ADCC.

 ADCC superintendent, Pastor Olu Mustapha charged all ministers to reflect on all the activities of the day. He then thanked everyone for their resilience since the program started. Thereafter, he prayed for all participants.

REVIVAL HOUR

Pastor Gbadegun Isaiah and Pastor Ayobami Oyekola took turn to lead the participants in prayers during the revival hour. It was a glorious and power packed session.

CLOSING AND NIGHT REST

The chairman (Pastor Olu Mustapha,) reminded ministers of the schedule of events for the next day after which he prayed. Thereafter, Pastor Ogundele I.O. shared the grace in fellowship, marking the end of the events for the opening day.
