DAY TWO: CAC ABUJA DCC 2024 MINISTERS' REFRESHER COURSE

MORNING DEVOTION
The day's activities started with morning devotion at
5:00am. Pastor Olukayode Samuel led other ministers in the singing of praise
songs while Evang. Alade led in the singing of hymn 14 from CAC GHB after which
Pastor Asaolu Afolabi led the opening prayer.
Pastor Ige, who gave the word of exhortation spoke on the
topic, ' Strengthening for wealth ', which was from the mission's morning
devotion book for the day. The text was taken from Mathew 17:24--27 . In his
exhortation, he made us to understand that God is the only one that can bless
us richly. He continued that God is the source of wealth and we must depend on
Him. He then led other ministers in brief prayer session.
Thereafter, pastor Ehinju prayed on the exhortation and
prayers offered. The 2024 refresher course chairman for ADCC, Pastor Ayam
Upright rolled out the day's activities after which he shared the grace in
fellowship to mark the end of the devotion session.
MORNING EXERCISE
MORNING CHARGE
The ADCC superintendent, Pastor Olu Mustapha in his message
during the morning charge session told the ministers to see suffering as part
of what they must pass through as Christians. He reminded everyone of how Jesus
suffered to bring us salvation. He said suffering will transform us if we can
diligently pass through it. He used Psalm 119:50, Acts 7:1ff, Acts, 12:1ff and
Romans 5 to buttress his point. He also cited the suffering of the likes of
Stephen, Paul, Job, David, among others. He advised all ministers to endure
suffering adding that it will bring productivity in the end.
LECTURE ONE
The resource person for the session, Pastor Fatunbi S.A
taught on the topic,' The need for power and gifts of the Holy Spirit to
fulfill a divine mandate', His lecture focused on areas such as: the
meaning of power, gifts of the Holy Spirit, divine mandate, functions of power
and gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the source of power and gifts.
LECTURE TWO
The second lecture for the day titled, ' The minister and
church Administration', was delivered by Pastor Adebayo M.O. He taught on
ministerial offices, spiritual gifts, meaning of church, what church
administration is, and the benefits of good church administration.
HOMILETICS
Before the session started fully, Elder Femi Ojuola
intimated the ministers on the Christ Apostolic Church census program coming up
between April and May this year. He explained that people are expected from
assemblies to join the census team and that they will be adequately trained
before the program kick start. He mentioned some of the information to be
provided by all the assembly during the census program, among other notable
things.
The chairman of the ministers' refresher course introduced
the first person that was involved in the homiletics session, Teacher Kehinde
Opemo. After his sermon which was titled,' How to be blessed by God this year,'
he was assessed by the senior ministers at the session.
Also, the second preacher for the session, Pastor Omotola,
who titled his message ' Can God be proud of you?', was assessed by the panel
of senior ministers at the session.
The chairman of the refresher course also advised all
ministers to take the issue of security seriously.
REVIVAL HOUR
Pastor Daniel Owolanke took charge of the revival hour
session as he led other ministers in prayers particularly on the current state
of the nation.
After the prayers, the ADCC secretary, Pastor I.O Ogundele
notified ministers concerning the new salary scale in CAC, among other things.
The chairman, pastor Ayam also notify the ministers of the
little adjustment in the program of the next day.
Pastor I.O Ogundele, thereafter shared the grace in
fellowship at 10:45pm, signaling the end of events for the second day.
